Spay & Neuter Programs
The single most important thing we can do for our pets and to stop the killing is to spay and neuter them. Just one unaltered female cat and her offspring can produce an estimated 420,000 cats in only seven years. We have two programs available for the pets of residents of Grays Harbor County.

The Voucher Program:
This program assists with spay/neuter of CATS and DOGS cared for by low-income residents. Proof of low-income status is required. Please note that these grant funds are limited, so do not wait. The vouchers cover the spaying or neutering of dogs and cats and includes a vet exam and core vaccinations. In most cases, the caregiver will need to bring their pet into a local veterinary clinic on the day of surgery and pick up that same day.

SNAP Program
The Spay/Neuter Assistance Program is just for CATS. The cats can be pets or community cats (strays or ferals receiving basic care). They can be from any area of Grays Harbor County and no proof of low-income status is required. However, donations are greatly appreciated since none of the veterinary care is free to North Beach PAWS. We can continue the program as long as donations allow us to. Also, the spay/neuter schedule gets full quickly so please don’t wait to contact us, especially if there are breeding-age females (5+ months old).

The cat will need to be brought to North Beach PAWS before the day of surgery, typically two or three days in advance. We can loan cat carriers for this purpose. Volunteers will care for and transport the cat to the appropriate clinic on surgery day and will care for the cat at the shelter for an appropriate recovery time afterward. The cat will also receive a vet exam and core vaccinations. If you need help with trapping strays, please let us know.
The main contact person is Angi, phone or text 360 660 4659.
