HOQUIAM, WASHINGTON — North Beach PAWS is proud to announce it has been named Nonprofit of the Year by the business members of Greater Grays Harbor, Inc. This award is a meaningful recognition of the shelter’s ongoing commitment to animal welfare and the dedicated volunteers who make that work possible every day.
The honor was presented at the Greater Grays Harbor, Inc. Leaders' Banquet on Friday, June 1st where North Beach PAWS President Carol Jamroz and Treasurer Cindy Jamroz accepted the award on behalf of the organization and its community of supporters.
“This recognition belongs to every volunteer, foster family, donor, and adopter who has made our mission a success,” said President Carol Jamroz. “We’re incredibly grateful to be acknowledged by the business community for the impact we make in the lives of local animals and the people who care for them.”
North Beach PAWS, a no-kill shelter serving Grays Harbor County, has been a lifeline for dogs and cats in need—providing medical care, rehabilitation, and loving placements into forever homes. The organization also offers low-cost spay/neuter and vaccination clinics, helping to reduce pet overpopulation and support responsible pet ownership.

Being named Non Profit of the Year by Greater Grays Harbor is a tremendous honor and a testament to the incredible impact that North Beach Paws has made in the community. The dedication required to run such an effective organization and manage the daily needs of animals in care is truly inspiring for anyone who works in the non profit sector. This kind of mission driven work is deeply rewarding but also physically demanding which makes it essential for volunteers and staff to find time for their own wellness. Investing in personal recovery is the only way to sustain the long term energy needed to support such a vital cause. We emphasize the importance of this restoration at best mobile…
I really admire the dedication of this team. Their mission requires intense focus, much like trying to hit a high score in Block Blast you can’t lose focus for a second when lives are on the line.
I really liked how the article highlighted North Beach Paws’ focus on community engagement, especially the part about their volunteer-driven foster program making such a tangible difference. It got me thinking about how small organizations often juggle so many moving parts, from fundraising to hands-on care, and how easy it is to overlook the systems behind the success. Sometimes, having an external viewpoint—like using something similar to Assignment Help in Cardiff for structured problem-solving—could offer interesting ways to streamline operations without losing the heart of the mission. I wonder how they prioritize which initiatives get the most attention each year.
