People from www.pawsitivealliance.org are working on legislation that establishes a statewide spay/neuter program. This bill does not make spay/neuter mandatory, instead it seeks funding for spay/neuter of pets of low income families and feral cats.
You may already know that at least 60,000 dogs and cats are euthanized in our state every year.
Let your state legislators know about the seriousness of this issue and urge them to support the bill. Other states are finding ways to deal with pet overpopulation and we think it’s time Washington did the same. We can work together to help reduce the number of homeless cats and dogs dying each year.
